My goodness. Ok so on the 3rd I started having contractions that were finally regular but still like 4-5 minutes apart. It went into the night and that morning they were still there and were getting stronger. So I called my mom and said that after she drops my sister off at school to come and get Kaylee so Abe and I could go to the hospital. We got there at 8:45am and I was super nervous that I was going to be turned away for not being far enough along. I was checked and I was dilated to a 4 and 90% effaced. The nurse called the doctor and he said I could stay. I was so excited. This meant I could get my epidural. Below is a picture of me before I got all hooked up to stuff. Also you may have notice there aren't any pictures of me holding Conner after he is born and that is because I shake pretty good after having a baby and it makes me really nervous to hold a baby while shaking.

The anesthesiologist was about to go into a C-section which would mean I would have to wait at least another 45 minutes for one, but my nurse grabbed him and was like she really needs one. I was so happy. He put it in and the pain went away and then a little bit later my blood pressure dropped way low. I almost throw up and went as white as a sheet. My blood pressure dropped a couple more times during labor but never as bad as the first time. So my pain was gone but I felt really crummy the majority of the time. I was progressing but slowly about a centimeter an hour, my contractions were strong enough but they weren't getting closer, so they decided to give me a small amount of potocin to have the contractions get closer together to speed things up.
So we were offered a chance to be in a research project that monitored the baby a little different to make sure that things were ok even if the babies stats drop low, so they can decrease the amount of C-sections that don't need to happen. But my water had to be broken before I passed 7 cm. Well it hadn't broken on its own yet, and the doctor didn't want to brake it yet. So I passed 7cm and missed out on a box of diapers so the lady gave both Abe and me some candy.
So the epidural was starting to wear off on the right side again so we decided to get another big dose to fix that problem. And boy did it work this time. So last time I had an epidural I got three of those and I couldn't move my left leg by the end but everything else was fine. This time it made it so I could not move from the bottom of my chest down. It was so weird. My water broke with a pop which made both Abe and me laugh. They needed to clean it up and I couldn't move they had to move me. It was creepy to watch them move my legs and I couldn't feel it or stop it. It was something.
So finally I am fully ready to go and the doctor is almost to the hospital. So the doctor gets there, however, there is an emergency C-section having to take place on a lady who was only 6 months pregnant and it needed two doctors and my doctor was the only other doctor there and since I was doing fine he went to go help them. They were a little weird about it though, like I would be mad or upset that he was doing that. I was like well I'm doing just and she's not so its all good. So finally the doctor finishes with the C-section and I start to push. It was weird because they said I was pushing but like I was so not sure due to the epidural paralyzing me. I really liked my doctor. He was active in my delivery. He was stretching and working to help me deliver. I pushed a few sets and Baby Boy Fisher was born at 5:31 pm.

He weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and was 21 in long. He was and is nice and healthy. I couldn't have asked for a better baby.

He really enjoyed getting his head washed.
Chillin out under the heater.
All wrapped up and holding daddy's finger.
So this birth went way easier than my first. I was even feeling really good after the delivery and I was super excited about that. I left the hospital Saturday evening and woke up Sunday with extreme pain in my back. I ended up having to go to the emergency room with a kidney infection. The infection could have been there before the delivery or caused by the catheter that was placed in due to the epidural, which I may not get again. I had to receive antibiotics through an IV and had to come back three more times for more and then I had to take a ton of antibiotics orally for 10 days. We believe that is is all gone and I'm all better now. Still tired and I wear out easy but I'm good. Below is us right before leaving the hospital.

Congratulations, Kari! He looks adorable and glad to hear he's doing well. Sorry to hear about your kidney infection; that is miserable. Take every chance you can to get rest! Two kiddos is no easy task :) So look great!
