Memorial Day Weekend

So in my family we celebrate Memorial Day by putting flowers on the graves of those who have died, not just military. And then we go shopping or grill, whichever we feel like doing. This year Kaylee helped put the flowers out and she liked that. She also really liked all the flags that were throughout the cemetery.

Conner - 8 Months

On the fourth of this month Conner turned 8 months. He is all grown up now. His laugh sounds all old and not baby anymore. He now has 4 teeth. It took like a month for the top ones to come in. He's been wearing his helmet now for 4 weeks and has about 17 days left. I think that I want it off more than he does. He can now get into a seated position on his own and he can move around a room without any problems. He still doesn't crawl, but that doesn't stop him. He can pull himself up to a standing position and sometimes when he is on all fours he will try to stand up and does an almost prefect down dog position which is funny. Kaylee and him are getting along better. I think it's because Conner will now react to her more than before. He loves people but is a little more attached to me than I would like but we are working on that.

Abe's 29th Birthday

So on May 5th it was Abe's 29th birthday which was a Sunday so on Saturday we celebrated his birthday by sleeping in, going to Denny's, then the park, and then we met up with my family for dinner.

We ate at a hibachi restaurant and then afterwards, as tradition dictates, we went to Baskin Robins for ice cream. Kaylee really enjoyed her ice cream.

So on Sunday we had cake and presents.

Now it was the same type of cake as last year but we add some food coloring to some of the batter for some fun. Abe was surprised by it.
