This is from Abe's blog and I thought it was funny too so I thought I would put it on my blog as well.

Just some picture of Miss Kaylee brushing her little teeth. And speaking of teeth, we think that Kaylee is getting another bottom tooth. I'm so glad that she teeths so well.

The Garden

So my family and I want to plant a garden this year. Partly to be self-sufficient and partly because it tastes good.  And after waiting for the snow to stop, removing some grass in a flower bed by the back porch, and tilling the ground we were finally able to plant our garden. We planted tomatoes, carrots, beets, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, two types of lettuce, spinach, bell pepper, radish, peas, yellow wax beans, potatoes, and onions. I may have forgotten something, but I'm not sure. Oh by the way this is all in my grandmother's backyard. I have no land whatsoever to plant anything. Now there were a few other things that we did plant that didn't make it and we hope to try them again next year.  

Things are growing in nicely

Now you can't just have vegetables that's just no fun. So when we were out and about looking for seeds we found this cute little peach tree that I just had to buy. I was so super excited about it. I hope that they taste good. And we also transplanted some raspberries in a different place than in the picture above. We did have some blueberry and strawberry plants, but they died before they were even planted. The stupid snow kept us from planting and things still died. Anyway I hope things continue to do well.

Crawling

Kaylee has been able to move around a room without trouble for some time now. It started with rolling. She would roll all over to the floor to get where she wanted. Then she moved to moving in this weird sitting position and could rotate in a circle and get in to even more places. Then she started pulling herself up to things and wanting to walk. She would always look so proud when she would stand up. Hardly at all this whole time has she shown interest in crawling, until recently. (She really bad wants to walk) And yesterday for the first time she crawled. It was fun to see but boy I'm just not ready for it. I'm just tired already thinking about running after her as she starts running and climbing and jumping.

8 Months

 On June 17 Kaylee turned 8 months old. It's so weird to think about how time has flown by, it's just ridiculous. In 10 more months and she can go to nursery. I'm really excited for that. So she now has 4 teeth. Well almost 4 teeth. The top two aren't fully in yet, they are about half way through. She likes to grind them together. It makes me cringe. She loves to hold on to furniture and walk around. She really wishes she could walk.  She is almost always smiling, but she certainly has a temper and won't be one to mess with.

Six Month Photo Shoot

Kaylee turned 6 months on April 17. So we got her pictures taken. We went to Target. I didn't even know they took pictures but they do. I feel they did a good job and they were the cheapest around. Here are a few of those pictures she took that day:

Easter Egg Hunting

We dyed eggs and looked through our baskets now its time to hunt some eggs. Kaylee went first and she even won a prize of 5 bucks.




Then Nykol and I went. We hunted twenty eggs and one held a cash prize. I won.



Then Bryce and Abe went and Abe won.


It was really fun. I don't know why running through the yard looking for eggs is fun but it is. I fully plan on doing this every year.

This was Kaylee's first Easter and I really think she enjoyed herself here are some pictures of her and her basket.

Easter Egg Dyeing

So we all dyed Easter eggs again this year. It was really enjoyable. Even Alex joined in the fun. This year however we had a competition to see who could do the coolest egg and the top three eggs won a prize. The winners in order were Alex, Bryce and then Abe. My grandma choose the winners.
