So my brother Bryce's birthday is September 7th, my sister Nykol's birthday is September 11th, and mine is September 28th. So here are some pictures of our birthdays. And man this was a year for cake mess ups.
So lets start with Bryce's cookie cake. We wanted a Swedish flag design and then have it say happy birthday Bryce in Swedish. My mom ordered it and they didn't have the same blue of the flag for the writing but they did have the right yellow for the trim. Also my mom was informed that they could not put dots over any letter that was not an i (who knows why). We went to pick up the cake from Sam's Club and when we see the cake it was broken. And they used a yellow that was so not the right yellow it was way ugly it was an orange yellow. So at first they didn't want to do anything about it, but then the head lady come up and said it was the wrong color even according to the ticket so they changed it and fixed the broken piece.
Now my mom had ordered Nykol's cake at the same time as Bryce's because we were celebrating their birthdays Saturday then Sunday. So Nykol wanted Cinderella themed birthday but they didn't have that so we had to go with a princess cake. Well with so many birthday's close together my mom didn't want to go a very big cake. So she ordered a 10" round. She wanted to have it say Happy Birthday Nykol! and she wanted to have a picture of the princesses on the cake. She was worried when ordering it that it wouldn't all fit so she asked "are you sure that it will all fit?" She was told yes it will be fine. Well it wasn't. I guess they NEVER do that or at least that is what this person said when my mom questioned it. So this cake looked fine it just wasn't what we thought.
Ok so my birthday cake I just went really wrong. So this time my cake was order from Fresh Market instead Sam's Club. I guess take one of the cake had one ring of frosting around the bottom in dark purple and the top ring was pink. There were lots of purple flowers and it said Happy Birthday Karl. So my mom was like this cake it supposed to be for Kari not Karl. So the lady was like I'll go fix it. When she brought it back the "i" was dotted with a different color then the rest of the letters. The lady talking to my mom ask if she would like the whole thing redone and my mom was like yes thank you. She then asked for there to be no purple to use white for the trim and blue roses. As you can see the trim is pink, there is purple, but there are blue roses. So that was the birthday cake fun of September.
