Fourth of July 2014 - Day

Sylvia had her Fourth of July party again this year and we went to it. It was really nice. The kids had a blast playing and being around people. We ate and chatted and enjoyed the day.

Ok so see the slide, Conner wanted to slide down the slide. So I told Abe to put him on the slide so he could go down. Well Abe ended up tossing Conner up so he could start at the top of the slide. Well with slide being an inflatable Conner bounced and flipped and went head first into the water and that was the last time he wanted near the water that day.

Kaylee on the other hand loved the water

Abe's 30 Birthday

Abe had a birthday let's shout hooray! We just did our usually of dinner this time at the hibachi restaurant, the presents and cake. It wasn't spectacular but it was a nice day for everyone I believe

Gran & Pop

Normally Kari does all the posting on here, but I am going to give one a shot. This one is about my parent's visiting. Kaylee and Conner call my mom and dad Gran and Pop. They live in Tennessee and we don't get to visit with them in the physical form that often. Occasionally Kaylee and Conner will say things over the phone, but most of the visiting takes place over Facetime. I think we all like it because its almost like being there face to face, but a real visit is more fun. My dad took a picture of my mom and I when we met for lunch on the day they flew into town.



The kids had a lot of fun. My parents stayed with us instead of a hotel and Kaylee really enjoyed that. She was in their room first thing every morning that they were here, playing hide and go seek and eating fig newtons. I don't have a lot of pictures of us playing around because, well, we were just playing around and sometimes i think we'd all rather play than take pictures. One day We went to a place up in the Riverwoods and rode a Merry-go-Round (which Kaylee had been looking forward to for a week or more). We played some games, ate some ice cream, and the kids played in a play place for a while. It was fun. Here are some pictures we did take:
