Park City 2013

Yea for Park City. I love going to Park City to just relax. It's fun and pretty and peaceful. And they have fun little activities to do at the hotel like one night Abe and I went and made smores down at the fire.

It snowed a little while we where there and Kaylee thought that was neat.

There was a little steam next to us on our walk and Kaylee got to throw a few rocks in which is her second favorite thing to do with water besides jump in it. See how proud she is.

We tried and tried to get a good picture of me and Conner but this is the best that we got.

So no one was feeling at the top of there game in fact Grandma got really sick and ended up going to the hospital (she is better now). So we spent time laying about.

They have a pool that is half outside and half inside but still cold and Kaylee and Abe went swimming in it while they played the new spider-man.  Kaylee had fun but got really cold and wanted to go swim in Grandma's little pool.

Oh and so we have been eating better more recently and one thing we have found that we like is spaghetti squash which can be microwaved but make sure your holes are deep enough or this will happen.

The Wedding in Price

So a relative of mine had a wedding in Price in the middle of September. She went all out for it. It was a three day affair and it was really fun,

Friday

Friday was the night of the ceremony. She had a southern style bbq meal outside. The food was good and it was pretty outside. A little cold because it had been storming all day, but it cleared up for the wedding which was nice. Kaylee pretty much just ran a muck the whole time. It was a nice pleasant evening,

Saturday

So Saturday was an all day affair. We only attended some of the activities that were planned for that day. At the hotel there were manicures, pedicures and massages provided for those attending the wedding.  Grandma got her nails done. Then later there was a dinner at a resturant there in Price, followed by cocktails and mocktails, then a reception which had a belly dancer, hula hoop dancer and a drum line and then a dance.  It was fun. There were activities to do during the dance portion like a photo booth and such. It was interesting to say the least. But I will say that Kaylee had a blast.

Sunday

Sunday there was a brunch at her house, which was yummy. Then they opened presents.

The Hotel.

So Kaylee loved all the festivities, but she loved the hotel just as much. We could have just stayed there all weekend and she would have been more than happy. And it wasn't a special hotel, just a normal run of the mill sort. It was fun to watch.

Nykol's 16th Birthday

For her birthday her good friend Hannah come and decorated her room for her which was fun. Nykol also got to go to St George with her friends for her birthday. For her birthday dinner we ate at one of her favorite restaurants La Jolla. Here are my kids there waiting.

At the end of the meal Nykol was brought a dessert with and candle in it and she wasn't quite sure what to do.

Kaylee's First Art Project

Kaylee has always had a thing for bird houses. When she builds with her blocks she says she's building bird houses. So we were at Micheal's and they had this little bird house which she loved so we got some paint and brought it home and let her go to town of her bird house. She was really proud of how it come out.

Abe's Trip to the Hospital

Oh my so the first weekend of September Abe got really sick. He was peeing a ton, his vision was being weird, he hurt all over and just didn't look right. So luckily Alex was down that weekend. He took Abe in to the hospital Saturday night while I put the kids to bed. At the ER they tested his blood sugar and it was 1031 which is crazy bad. Its suppose to be no higher than like 140. If he would have fallen asleep he could have gone into a coma and then died. It was really scary. He had to stay in the hospital for two days while they brought his blood sugar down. They thought that he would be a type 2 diabetic but sadly no he is now a type 1 diabetic which means he will be on insulin the rest of his life. But he is ok now and we were already changing our diet to be more healthy and now we have even more reason to.  Oh and they feed them well in the hospital too.  We came to visit and Kaylee was concerned about him. She said that dad was caught in the wires.
