Nykol's 16th Birthday

For her birthday her good friend Hannah come and decorated her room for her which was fun. Nykol also got to go to St George with her friends for her birthday. For her birthday dinner we ate at one of her favorite restaurants La Jolla. Here are my kids there waiting.

At the end of the meal Nykol was brought a dessert with and candle in it and she wasn't quite sure what to do.

Kaylee's First Art Project

Kaylee has always had a thing for bird houses. When she builds with her blocks she says she's building bird houses. So we were at Micheal's and they had this little bird house which she loved so we got some paint and brought it home and let her go to town of her bird house. She was really proud of how it come out.

Abe's Trip to the Hospital

Oh my so the first weekend of September Abe got really sick. He was peeing a ton, his vision was being weird, he hurt all over and just didn't look right. So luckily Alex was down that weekend. He took Abe in to the hospital Saturday night while I put the kids to bed. At the ER they tested his blood sugar and it was 1031 which is crazy bad. Its suppose to be no higher than like 140. If he would have fallen asleep he could have gone into a coma and then died. It was really scary. He had to stay in the hospital for two days while they brought his blood sugar down. They thought that he would be a type 2 diabetic but sadly no he is now a type 1 diabetic which means he will be on insulin the rest of his life. But he is ok now and we were already changing our diet to be more healthy and now we have even more reason to.  Oh and they feed them well in the hospital too.  We came to visit and Kaylee was concerned about him. She said that dad was caught in the wires.

Kaylee - 3 Years

Oh my my. Kaylee is now three years old and she has quite the personality. She is really polite with her pleases and thank yous, and if she needs to pass by you or she accidentally bumps she says excuse me and sorry. She is learning to control her temper and to stay calm when figuring things out. We've found that sugar causes her to be grumpy so we've cut it down to special times only. She has grown to love Conner and never wants to leave him out unless he wants what she wants. She hasn't met a person she doesn't like. She loves to dance and really enjoys the song "Fly on the Wall". She can talk really well and if you ask her how you look she will say "fabulous." At the moment she likes pink and red. Loves Minnie Mouse, my little pony and the old school Casper or anything really. Oh and magic school bus which is fun for me. She says hi to everyone and any kid is her friend. She loves her cousins and friends. She will sometimes say prayer now and will sit and fold her arms which is exciting. She has been moved into a real bed. She loves it so much. She just grinned ear to ear the first night. She has a little trouble staying put but it will get better I'm sure. She loves to help decorate for anything. She likes to help cook, and help do anything she sees you doing really. She loves to color, or "paint" as she calls it, even if its just using crayons or colored pencils. She loves to run and throw and jump. She can count to 20 and almost to 30. She knows the alphabet and is now working on their sounds.  She loves life and having fun.

From birth to a year. My little boy has gotten so big and old looking but yet hasn't changed at all.

Conner - 12 Months

Conner is a year old now and its weird because he almost seems like he should be old but yet not. Well Conner has a temper and now will attack Kaylee when she has something he wants or she did something to him. So payback is happening already for her picking on him, but they both love each other. She doesn't ever like to leave him behind. She hates when he cries and will play with him. He follows her everywhere and will give her hugs and will laugh at her all the time. So it works. He has completely stopped eating baby food. His favorite foods are ones he can feed to himself. He likes to do things himself already. He is very independent. He runs around now. It's kind of funny when he has or is doing something he's not suppose to because he will take off running away from you and it's just funny to watch. He likes to give hugs and he likes his way. He grunts a lot still but it's getting better. He loves to hold bottles or silverware and walk around. He has really good coordination with putting things in the right spot and dropping things and shoveling spoons and such to his mouth. He also figures things out on his own fairly well. He still crawls over or under any obstacle that may be in his way. Six months until nursery which is exciting. He is growing up so fast and it's been fun.
