Bryce's Farewell

Bryce was called to serve an LDS mission to Bacolod, Philippines. He had his farewell on July 28th. He gave a talk in church about the importance of family history, which he did well. Then everyone came over to Grandma's to have a lunch. It was yummy and there was so much food. The menu included turkey steaks, rolls, watermelon, red and green grapes, pineapple (which nearly destroyed my finger with it's acid), cantaloupe, potato salad, a green salad, a pimento salad, a pasta salad, chips and cookies, drinks and some Swedish juices.  We had a good turn out, about 111 but no pictures to prove it because we were all too busy to think about pictures. But we do have some pictures of Bryce dressed up and the tables before everything happened.

Spanish Fork Reservoir

Bryce has always liked going up to the reservoir whether it be with friends or by himself. He has wanted us to come up there to swim and fish for the longest time and we finally all did and it was fun.

Bryce is in this picture way out there he wanted to swim from the beach area to the fishing area.

The 24th of July Celebration 2013: Parade and Such

Look how happy they are before the parade started.

Watching the parade with her renewed friend Seth.

She's a dancing queen.

IMG_5195

So for the Celebration they got around two thousand young men to march in the parade as the stripling warriors. As they marched they sang hymns. I thought it was way cool and neat. I almost cried.

IMG_5204IMG_5208

So for a while Kaylee watched the parade and enjoyed the music and candy and horses, and then she got a little bored with it all and ran around the yard instead where she found an Elmo and an apple. She enjoyed herself.

IMG_5214 IMG_5224

So after the parade we went to Mapleton and Kaylee run around and had fun. There was this one inflatable thing there that Kaylee wanted to play on and she was going to try to cut in line because she didn't realize there was a line. When I said we had to stand in line and wait our turn she looked at the line and then was like I don't want to play on that anymore and ran back to the play ground.

We went back to Cynthia's to eat. Kaylee for at least an hour if not longer played in the sand. First they would put the sand on the chair then wipe it off then repeat. She had a lot of fun doing that.

Conner - 11 Months

IMG_5374

So this post is crazy late because Conner turned 11 months on the 4th but since the 4th of October is just around the corner and he'll be a year old so I thought better late than never. He became a speed crawler and then started walking. I can't remember the exact date that Conner started walking but I have a video of me trying to get of him walking on the 17th of August. He's really good at walking. And he can already stand up from anywhere. He likes to crawl under things or over things. Not much stops him from getting to where he wants to go. He likes to scrunch up his nose. He is an affectionate child which is fun. He loves being outside and tries his best to get the to the door as fast as possible. He likes to do things he's not suppose to. He will watch you as he creeps to touch something he's not suppose to and you have to actually remove him from what he's doing wrong or other times when you get up to go get him he takes off, but this only happens when he's in a mood. Most of the time he is pretty good about not touching things.

The 24th of July Celebration of 2013: Carnival

So we all went to the Carnival the night before the 24th and looked at the booths and rode some rides. James' family was there as well. Kaylee absolutely loved having them around. Kaylee just rode a few rides. One of which was a little boat that had a steering wheel and a bell. Well she rode it once and really enjoyed it and there was no problems. Then she wanted to ride it again. Which she did. However, this time she did not want to stay seated and would turn around backwards and play in the water. Abe told her not to and the lady running the thing yelled at her not to but she continued. So she was kicked off the ride. I am just grateful that one, she was all right and two, that I was not there. I had just stepped away to get something for Nykol and I came back to her having to get off the ride.

The only ride my mom rode on. They had fun.

Conner 9 and 10 Months

IMG_4949

On July 4th Conner turned 9 months old. Half way to nursery. He at that time could crawl, clap, wave and be happy. He loves to walk around things and stand on his own. He thinks he is something special when he does that. He follows his sister around everywhere she goes, which she's not a big fan of. He weighted about 22 lbs and was about 28 in. He is a growing machine. Still couldn't really make many noises.

IMG_5039

Now at 10 months Conner could walk if he had the confidence to. He has in fact taken some steps without recognizing it but as soon as he realized that I was no longer holding his arm he sat down. He is finally starting to make the correct sounds. He can say dada a lot. He has said mama once and makes a lot of other correct noises which is good because he was a little behind but he seems to be catching up. He can click his tongue. He also likes to say hi to people at Walmart and try to touch them. It appears that he is going to be stubborn like his sister but a little more sneaky but that is still to be determined.
