The 24th of July Celebration of 2013: Carnival

So we all went to the Carnival the night before the 24th and looked at the booths and rode some rides. James' family was there as well. Kaylee absolutely loved having them around. Kaylee just rode a few rides. One of which was a little boat that had a steering wheel and a bell. Well she rode it once and really enjoyed it and there was no problems. Then she wanted to ride it again. Which she did. However, this time she did not want to stay seated and would turn around backwards and play in the water. Abe told her not to and the lady running the thing yelled at her not to but she continued. So she was kicked off the ride. I am just grateful that one, she was all right and two, that I was not there. I had just stepped away to get something for Nykol and I came back to her having to get off the ride.

The only ride my mom rode on. They had fun.

And this is pretty much what Conner did until he finally fell asleep.

Conner 9 and 10 Months

On July 4th Conner turned 9 months old. Half way to nursery. He at that time could crawl, clap, wave and be happy. He loves to walk around things and stand on his own. He thinks he is something special when he does that. He follows his sister around everywhere she goes, which she's not a big fan of. He weighted about 22 lbs and was about 28 in. He is a growing machine. Still couldn't really make many noises.



Now at 10 months Conner could walk if he had the confidence to. He has in fact taken some steps without recognizing it but as soon as he realized that I was no longer holding his arm he sat down. He is finally starting to make the correct sounds. He can say dada a lot. He has said mama once and makes a lot of other correct noises which is good because he was a little behind but he seems to be catching up. He can click his tongue. He also likes to say hi to people at Walmart and try to touch them. It appears that he is going to be stubborn like his sister but a little more sneaky but that is still to be determined.

Payson Scottish Festival 2013

It was a really enjoyable this year. We really didn't get to look at the booths, but it was still fun.

Kaylee got to get a balloon dog and two balloon swords. The sword was her favorite. She loved to sword fight with us. We don't have any pictures of her using the swords but I have a picture holding them so here they are. Oh and look at what a nice sister Kaylee is giving Conner back his sunglasses he dropped.

We were going to get Kaylee's face painted but we weren't sure how she would take it so we went with an airbrush tattoo on her arm. She picked a butterfly.

When she was asked what she wanted to do again she wanted another tattoo, they do say they are addicting, so we got her another one and this time she picked a dragon.

Kaylee was super fascinated by this like pond lake thing.

And we can't leave out Conner so here he is having a nice cold drink of milk (formula).

4th of July 2013: Stadium of Fire

Stadium of Fire this year was good. The reason I can't say great had nothing to do with the show, but more with my kids.  Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil came and the music acts where Kelly Clarkson and Carly Rae Jepsen, who by the way is Canadian. Conner was crazy tired and grumpy until he finally feel asleep. After his little nap he mellowed quite a bit. Kaylee was a grump as well and refused to dance or anything until finally Carly Rae Jepsen sang Call Me Maybe, then Kaylee mellowed. She then seem to have an alright time. She liked the fireworks and then got bored and just played with the glow sticks. And I know I have said this before but I'm not so sure I want to go again with my kids anytime soon.

4th of July 2013: Sylvia and Jay's

Sylvia had her annual 4th of July shindig, which we went to of course. And Kaylee had an absolute ball. The water stuff was all out and she never stopped playing for hours in the water. She loved having all the cousins around and she couldn't get enough. Now she also got her first sun burn this day, which almost made me cry. So I used to use Banana Boat with no problems and with no need to reapply. We recently switched to Neutrogena which is suppose to be better. Well I sprayed her down like I always do and I started to use a Banana Boat stick on her face and then finished with the Neutrogena. I didn't reapply, but I don't normally and she burnt everywhere but where the Banana Boat was. So needless to say we are switching back to Banana Boat. Luckily, the sun burn was not on her back and she didn't really seem to mind it. So it wasn't near as bad as it could have been.  And now to the more fun part: the pictures.
