On the 17th of this month Kaylee turned 2 years old. Oh my how time does fly. I feel like I was just writing Kaylee's first birthday post. Now Kaylee is all grown up. She can run and dance and pretty much anything a full grown adult can do. She also can jump which she thinks is her greatest accomplishment. She can actually get pretty far off the ground. She can repeat anything and has a big vocabulary on her own. She has started watching TV and movies now which she loves, she doesn't have a favorite yet though. She does have a favorite blanket now which she takes everywhere. She also takes her blanket and wraps it around herself and says she's Rapunzel or a princess. Being outside is her favorite. She loves going to her grandma's house. [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHi1lmr8TmM]

He weighed 9 lbs 6 oz and was 21 in long. He was and is nice and healthy. I couldn't have asked for a better baby.

He really enjoyed getting his head washed.
Chillin out under the heater.
All wrapped up and holding daddy's finger.
So this birth went way easier than my first. I was even feeling really good after the delivery and I was super excited about that. I left the hospital Saturday evening and woke up Sunday with extreme pain in my back. I ended up having to go to the emergency room with a kidney infection. The infection could have been there before the delivery or caused by the catheter that was placed in due to the epidural, which I may not get again. I had to receive antibiotics through an IV and had to come back three more times for more and then I had to take a ton of antibiotics orally for 10 days. We believe that is is all gone and I'm all better now. Still tired and I wear out easy but I'm good. Below is us right before leaving the hospital.

So in the picture I am 35 weeks pregnant. I had a doctors appointment at 36 weeks things went well, in fact the doctor said that I've done a good job at this pregnancy being normally boring, which I'm a really grateful for. So he checked me to see where I was at, just for fun since they were doing the strep. b test. I was dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. Well, from here on I will have to go weekly to the doctor. Also I want to note that I've hurt differently this pregnancy compared to the last. I'm not quite sure which has been worse pain wise but overall I would say this pregnancy has been worse. So for the following week after that doctor visit I had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and cramping. I didn't feel very great and so I really wanted there to be progression made after all that uncomforablness. So I went to the doctor on Friday and he checked me again. I was dilated to a 3 and 80%. He said that it was very favorable that I could go into labor before my next appointment which is this coming Friday. He also said that odds are against me going before I'm 38 weeks which is Wednesday. Now the progression made me happy, also the thought of finishing early, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much because it still could be another 2 weeks because you just never know. I do hope its not this Friday because it's my birthday. Any other day would be just fine with me.
