St. George 2012

Last weekend was the family girl's trip to St. George. We had fun. We ate and shopped and relaxed. We got some amazing cookies at this bakery at the mall. We all enjoyed ourselves but I would say that Kaylee had the most fun. We sadly have no pictures of us as a group but there were a few pictures taken.

Here are some pictures of Nykol and Kaylee Shopping.

Here are some pictures of Kaylee playing in the pool.

And we cannot forget about how Nykol almost took off her toes walking into a restaurant. She got blood all over her shoe and it was pretty painful, but she handled it really well.

Outside Fun Time

More than kicking a ball, more than reading, I would have to say Kaylee likes being outside walking the most. If she was allowed she would be outside from morning til night. She also thinks that when dad comes home from work it's mandatory for him to take her out to walk. We have to cover her in sunscreen because she has the fairest skin ever, but she doesn't mind she knows she has to have her shoes and sunscreen on before she can go run a muck.

Reading Time with Kaylee

Kaylee LOVES to read. She doesn't mind being read to most of the time, but she really prefers to read books herself. She turns each page, stares intently at page, and sometimes even talks to it. She can sit and sit and just flip through books. I hope she keeps it up.

Abe's Birthday 2012

So for Abe's birthday and for our anniversary I surprised Abe with a weekend trip to Little America in Salt Lake. It is where we stayed after we got married, before we went on our honeymoon. It was nice. We got to eat yummy food and go to a movie and just not rush about. Abe also had Eggs Benedict for the first time and had to take a picture of it, which is actually the only picture we have of our trip.

We left on Friday after Abe got off work and came home on Sunday. We went to my grandma's house to have dinner and cake for Abe's birthday. His birthday cake was a special one because it was this cake that his great aunt would make and he loved. We were given the recipe when we got married and I have always wanted to make it for Abe's birthday and it has never worked out. But this time I didn't try to make it my mom did and she was able to succeed.

Kick Ball

Kaylee really really loves to kick balls.  And a lot of the time when she is kicking the ball she says "kick ball". It makes her really happy. And the other day she was kicking her stuffed bunny (which she got in trouble for) and she was saying "kick ball bunny".

And the verdict is...

[caption id="attachment_1149" align="aligncenter" width="600"] Foot[/caption]

Baby BOY. Craziness. I'm not so sure about this, but it will be good. He is a wiggly little fellow. He was all over the place when the doctor was looking at him. In fact he even flipped upside down during a two minute break. He seem to be strong too. I felt him before 16 weeks and Abe could feel him at 19 weeks. I hope he is strong especially if something goes wrong because boys tend to not hold up as well. One downside is he can't wear Kaylee's hand-me-downs, but a good thing is new stuff. We kinda like a name but we want to see the baby first. Also we can't agree on a middle name to go with. I want Abe and Abe wants Abraham. We both can see the other side but still can't agree, so maybe it will be like Bob or something. But I'm really excited to finally know that the baby  has all his limbs, spine looks good, the chambers of the heart look good, and what color to shop for.

Easter Egg Hunting 2012

Well this year we actually had Easter late. And the weekend we decided to have it ended up being the same weekend that some of our family from Georgia showed up. Which they actually were early so it was a big surprise. Anyway, there was my mom's cousin JE and his wife Micky, their son Wayne and his wife and their children Allison (17) and Daniel (14). And so just like last year the guys hunted together, the girls hunted together, and Kaylee got to go on her own. Allison and Daniel both were like we are too old for this and I was like no you aren't and made them hunt, and to their surprise they had fun. Bryce and Nykol found the special eggs. Now the sad thing is I have no pictures of this. But I do have some pictures of Kaylee getting her eggs. So her they are.
