The Garden Conclusion

So it's almost the end of the growing season for us. And things went not so bad. The radishes did really well and were simple to grow.  Our peas did well but I think that we should next year use trellises instead of sticks and we should plant in stages. The beets and turnips did really well but I didn't thin them and it turns out that THINNING IS IMPORTANT. The beans were eaten by something and we only got like 6 beans. We need to figure out how to keep whatever was eating the beans from eating them. For some reason our lettuce tasted like dirt so we have to look that up and figure that out. Our carrots grew well but I think we should try to a different variety next year. I've learned some from this experience and I hope to improve everything for next year. I also need to remember to store seeds.

Airplane Ride

So Abe is from Tennessee, and almost all his family lives there and they had never met Kaylee. So for this Labor Day week we went to visit them. This was Kaylee's first plane ride. I was really worried about it. I didn't know how she would take it. We flew out of Provo which was weird. I didn't even know that they had a commercial airport in Provo. They only have two flights a day, one out in the morning to Denver and then one in from Denver.

Here we are in the one gate terminal.

So we had a short flight to Denver. Kaylee seemed excited. She like to look through window and all around really.  She seem tired and I was hoping that she was sleep the whole time but nope. She just passed out ten minutes before we landed.

So we landed and she woke up. She had some energy after that so we played in an open area.

Now the next flight was a little over three hours long, and Kaylee was tired but refused to sleep. She didn't get too fussy though which was good. She did had a really bad diaper that Abe had to change in the tiny bathroom on the plane. But after we landed she was exhausted so we got to the car and put her in the car seat and she past right out.

Now the flights home weren't as easy as coming. She didn't want to sleep, didn't want to be in the seat and she wanted to touch people which we didn't allow which made her not the most happy in the world. However, I don't think that she really disturbed too many people. She mainly just wore Abe and me out.
So here is the plane we were on. Also a picture of baggage claim if you see me on the floor outside that's because I was.

Hiking the Y

Now Abe had never hiked the Y before and neither had Kaylee, so the last day before school started for Bryce and Nykol we did. It was oddly an enjoyable event. So the picture below is the picture of the Y mountain. Now you don't actually hike from the base up. We parked about the a third of the way and then hike the rest of the way up.

This is a the view from the Y itself.

We made it and we had to have a picture of all of us by the Y.

Now on the way back down the mountain, Nykol went on a head a bit and when she was getting close to the parking lot she tripped and fell and you can see the rest. But it wasn't as bad as it could have been. So we cleaned her up and then went to Ihop for breakfast.

St. George.

So for some years now my mom, Nykol and I would go to St. George for a weekend to have a girls weekend and just enjoy. We shop and have gone to some plays and of course eat. This year things were a little different, Grandma and Kaylee come along as well. It was fun. We got some new Halloween decorations and Nykol got a few cute things. This was also Kaylee's first time to go swimming. Which she loved. There were lots of kids that she enjoyed and splashing. It was a really nice and relaxing.

11 Months

Yesterday Kaylee turned 11 months. 7 more months until she can go to nursery and that will be awesome. She can walk now. She is slow and not super confident, but she can walk. This makes me happy and not so happy because she will be running soon. She has 7ish teeth. 6 of which are through the gums, the 7th is almost all the way broken through. If she sees anyone eating she makes her way to them and starts begging for food. She will eating almost anything, but broccoli, cheese and carrot mix. She still is almost always smiling. However, she does have a temper and we are already teaching her that she can't hit. She is excited for Halloween and I know this because she loves the decorations that are in her room.

10 Months

Kaylee is 10 Months old today. In the past month Kaylee has learned how to give fives, claps, and wave when she feels like it. She is still always smiling and has taken just two steps. She is still really unsure of herself with walking on her own, but that's ok I would prefer her to wait until she's a year anyway. 8 more months until she can go to nursery which I can't wait for.
