So every year they have this little family like concert in the evening in the park on Sunday. So we decided to go down with Kaylee just to see how it would be. It wasn't too bad. Kaylee enjoyed pulling the grass. I probably shouldn't have let her, but she was really enjoying it and the grass needed mowing anyway.

The 24th of July: Pioneer Day. Part 1 The Carnival
So here in Utah and I guess in the LDS community we celebrate the 24th of July. The reason is because in 1847 the Mormon pioneers settled in the Salt Lake valley. This also coincides with Spanish Fork's (which is were my family lives) Fiesta Days. So there was plenty to do around there that weekend and here are some pictures and stuff of the festivities.
Bryce, Abe, Nykol, and my mom road some rides and they were having fun until they road the zipper and then my mom gave a little sick and they quit. But they still had some fun.
Here is J.E. and Micky (relatives from Georgia) Kaylee and Grandma sitting in the shade, enjoy a drink and a bit of down time.
Kaylee enjoyed her down time in her stroller, sittin back in her shades but she didn't get left out of the ride game because she got to ride on the merry-go-round which went oddly fast, but she really enjoyed even though you can't tell from the picture.

Harry Potter (Spoiler Alert)
I have a whole in my heart right now. I watched the last Harry Potter movie tonight. I was watching it and was ok with how they changed things from the book. I understand they need make changes to make it flow better and for the lack of time. I've watched the first 7 movies and I could over look the difference and really enjoy the movies. However, the ending of the movie really, really disappointed me. I have read the books a few times in my day. And I really loved how the the 7th book ended. In the movie, I feel that the deaths weren't sad enough. I was tearing up before the movie thinking about these deaths and thought I would ball in the movie, a tear is all that happened. Seeing Tonks and Lupin almost holding hands was sad, but I didn't really notice Fred died. Also they make Molly seem like a dumpy housewife. But she wasn't she could fight as hard as the rest and I was so looking forward to her big fight and I was "haha" at her line and then "ok, well then." But the main reason I have a whole in my heart is the fight scene with Harry and Voldemort. Well pretty much everything from after the death scene on, I have issues with.
Ok, now Harry sees the best in people and never wants to harm seriously or kill someone. He is told that his signature spell is a disarming spell. If at all possible he would use this spell. He is made fun of for using this spell more than once. And yet he defends it and refuses to go against what he feels is right. Now when Harry and Voldemort have their final show down, they don't fight they talk. (And I guess that would be too boring for a film) which I really enjoyed. Harry taunts Voldemort. He calls him Tom and he even tries to save him. He tries to change his fate. He has hope for a horrible man. And when they finally fight, Voldemort goes for the killing curse and what does the hero choose to do at this moment, he picks the disarming spell. And Voldemort's curse rebounds and hits himself. Leaving Harry with a clean slate, he has never intentionally killed anyone. I feel that was not shown at all in the movie and I loved it. So it left me sad. Now I will say that I really really enjoy the death scene where Harry talks to Dumbledore. I felt that is was right on the money and I wished the rest of the movie made me feel the way this one scene did.

Halloween
So it's July and it seems like almost every July I start itching for Halloween. I try to control this itch but sometimes it's very hard to do. I want to go shopping for it, plan parties, and my costume. And this July, I am even thinking about being crafty. I was looking at some Halloween stuff online and I came across this and I really want to do those stacked pumpkins.

My friend Katharine come across this while on stumble upon and it looks fun and yummy to try for Halloween. But I really seriously doubt that I can pull it off. I have this flag cake I want to try and if that turns out all right then I may just try this one.

Now the crafty bit is with some baby food jars and crepe paper to make jack-o-lanterns and ghosts. And since I have a baby who eats baby food I figured I have the jars so I might as well try this one out.

9 Months Old
Today Kaylee is nine months old. It's craziness she now has been alive as long as she was inside me. She has nine months until nursery. She has recently learned to roll her tongue. She does it all the time now. Abe says she sounds like Chewbacca from Star Wars. She has now celebrated all the major holidays. She can now stand alone without touching anything for a good amount of time. She loves people especially if they are small people like herself. When she sees them playing she trys to join in.
